SGG COOL-LITE K

DESCRIPTION

SGG COOL-LITE K is a selective solar control glass, manufactured by depositing a coating of metallic oxides by magnetically enhanced cathodic sputtering under vacuum, onto clear or body-tinted glass. This coating gives the glass its solar control and low-E properties, its distinctive appearance. SGG COOL-LITE K is designed for use in double glazing applications, or in laminated glass assemblies.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Thanks to the optimised combination of solar, thermal and light performances, aesthetics and processing flexibility, SGG COOL-LITE K is the ideal product for many architectural projects such as:

  • Office buildings
  • Industrial buildings
  • Education buildings
  • Health buildings
  • Hotels, restaurants

SGG COOL-LITE K can be installed in many glazing applications:

  • Windows in traditional facades
  • Curtain walling
  • Exterior structural sealant glazing
  • Exterior bolted glass assemblies

ADVANTAGE

  • Very selective glass combining high light transmission and low solar factor / shading coefficient
  • Solar control: energy savings and more economical use of air conditioning
  • Improved visual comfort by reducing glare, while keeping natural light
  • Low-E property energy savings in both hot and cold climate.
  • Environmentally friendly products thanks to less CO2 output of the buildings

SGG COOL-LITE KT complies with the requirements of the class C of the standard EN 1096 and is CE marked.

PROCESSING CAPABILITIES

SGG COOL-LITE K products are very durable coated glasses, enabling them to be laminated, heat strengthened or undergo the heat soak test after tempering. SGG COOL-LITE K should always be processed into an insulating glass unit. KT range is temperable and K II has to be tempered.

The coating along the edges is removed then placed inside the cavity, in face 2 (interior side of the exterior pane). It can also be placed in a laminated glass in contact with PVB interlayer in order to combine acoustic and safety properties.

It can be combined with SGG BIOCLEAN self-cleaning glass to add low maintenance function. SGG COOL-LITE K can also be screen printed or enamelled.
